How it all began?

Diljott herself is a Dreamer and wishes to support those around her who have dreams but do not have a path in life to follow them. Diljott expresses that she always had a desire to serve the humanity right since childhood when she was in school. Besides having a natural instinct of philanthropy, Diljott gives a huge credit to her parents for instilling the trait of helping others as she has always been taught to share her blessings with those who need it the most. Diljott shares, “ As an actor and a public figure, I got an opportunity to travel far and wide for my shoots and work commitments, in that journey over the years, I came across a number of underprivileged and poor people who are talented, who believe in their dreams but felt helpless in further pursuing it in life. My interest in contributing towards humanity goes back to volunteering for numerous social initiatives to leading the NSS (National Service Scheme) in my school and Graduation to then academically opting for Masters in Human Rights on to doing Post Graduate Course in NGO Management and professionally equipping myself for this field. Even during my field visits as a Masters student and also undertaking non profit initiatives throughout, I realised that there are innumerable people who are talented and want to break through the shackles of poverty and all the obstacles and want to follow their dreams and make it big in their life like the fortunate ones. Many times when I had conversations with such people, they used to express that howsoever talented they may be, they are not born to dream and live their dreams and would be so demoralised that they said they can not even think about it in this lifetime. Somewhere as a dreamer and an artist, I could feel their pain of just giving up on their dreams only because they are poor, they do not have enough resources, support, guidance and opportunities to live their dreams. Though I have been helping many such people I came across at that time in my own ways but then I felt I need an organisation which shall serve as an umbrella and give a hope to million such dreams of the needy and thus formed Dream Buds Foundation. I decided to stand up for such talents and help them follow their dreams and give them an opportunity to live fulfilled lives. It gives me an immense gratification in reaching out and supporting the underprivileged, I feel every life is precious and they too deserve to pursue their hidden talents in their lifetime”.
