November- December 2021:

The team celebrated Diwali with Navjot and Khushpreet, the underprivileged orphan girls whose father died and their mother abandoned them a long ago. Their old paternal grandmother clocks after them with bare minimum resources. The team of Dream Buds Foundation took a basket full of goodies for them on Diwali consisting of winter clothes, kids usable items, sweets etc to add colour and vibrancy in their lives on the Festival of Lights.

In the next initiative in Novemver, we got a door made and fixed in a room where these orphan girls, Khushpreet and Navjot stay with their grandmother. They did not have a door in their main room as they could not afford it, which the team got to know during the pilot survey. The nights specially were challenging for them as the winter has set in and majorly their safety was at stake all the time. So the team during their initial visit, took the measurements of door and got it made from the carpenter and installed it.
Recently in December in the next event, the Foundation was informed that these orphan girls do not have any school uniform and accessories when they go to school and the only students in the class who cannot afford buying it. Dream Buds Foundation took them to a uniform shop and provided them with uniforms, school shoes and tiffin boxes and water bottles to them to support their academic journey and dream of education.
