Dream Buds Foundation ardently contributed in Punjab Floods and served the needy flood affected families. Home to Home visits were made, in the initial phase, the NGO also associated with NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) to provide relief assistance. Needy families of Pathankot area in Punjab and seven villages across Ravi River have been served by the NGO. Several Tarpaulins, Mosquito nets, groceries, ready to eat food items, medicines, health and hygiene kits, beds, mattresses, pair of shoes for both men and women, blankets, home essentials like buckets etc, dry milk packets were distributed. Health camps providing free medical consultation and free medicines and Sanitation Drives in the lanes of the villages were held by the NGO.
Dream Buds Foundation in association with BSF (Border Security Force supported the needy flood affected families at village Simbhal of Bamiyal, Pathankot, Punjab where a flood relief material distribution drive was organised to support the families by providing essential supplies such as food, clothing and hygiene kits. Diljott, the founder of Dream Buds Foundation and Suresh Singh, Commandant, Madhopur, 109 Bn BSF addressed everyone.
Festival time was marked by donating newly stitched suits amongst hundred needy women of the flood affected villages. Local schools and students of flood affected areas of Punjab at Lasiyan and Toorbani were supported by donating copies, stationary, school bags, learning materials for all the students to help them in this hour of need and support them in their journey of fulfillment of dream of education.
Satinder Kaur, a student of class seventh whose notebooks, books, school bag, uniforms, school shoes were all destroyed in floods was provided with notebooks, school bag, books, stationary, winter uniforms and school shoes to help her restart her education. Health centre at village Toor which was closed from last two months due to floods exigency was cleaned by the volunteers and transformed in a workable condition allowing patients to come in from around areas.
